Carol Ross Barney, FAIA, will explore how strong advocates from clients, users, communities, and design teams are essential to achieving design excellence in public projects. Through examples from her practice, she will examine how architects can anticipate technical and contextual challenges while developing designs that are environmentally responsible, culturally significant, and responsive to the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
