It was a one-two blow a week apart at the end of last year: Robert A. M. Stern died on November 27th at the age of 86, and Frank O. Gehry on December 5th at the age of 96. Of such renown, neither needs any introduction or elucidation of their long, award-winning careers. A couple of obits can fill in the gaps:

While they couldn’t be more different stylistically, they shared an unwavering commitment to the profession of architecture. More than the ubiquitous discussions of style, the interviews selected for this program highlight their views on the practice and values of architecture. Former employees and students are encouraged to attend and participate in a discussion to follow.
