NEW PRESENTATION UPDATE Having it All: Merging Seismic Retrofit + Historic Preservation Frank E. Moss US Courthouse Case Study Originally constructed in 1905 with additions in 1912 and 1932, Moss Courthouse is the oldest building in Salt Lake City's Exchange Place Historic District and the most "at risk" building in GSA's portfolio. HOK and Trivers will illustrate strategic methods to accommodate structural seismic improvements while simultaneously enhancing historic integrity with design on track to achieve LEED Gold certification. The team will also share communication strategies for the Section 106 consultation process that resulted in GSA's first-ever "no adverse effect" determination for a seismic retrofit of a historic structure.
